CANINE HEALING PROJECT

Noble Dog Hotel's 501c3

OUR VISION

The Canine Healing Project is a non-profit associated with The Noble Dog Hotel. Our mission is to rescue at-risk dogs and train them to be therapy dogs. During their training they are cared for by the team at The Noble Dog Hotel and live the life of luxury. Once we establish a good foundation through training, they become available for adoption. We encourage all adopters to become certified as a handler/dog team and participate in the community dog therapy program visiting local hospitals, schools, special needs centers, nursing homes and more.

OUR MISSION

We strive to heal the hearts of canines and humans in need by rescuing shelter dogs, showering them with the love they deserve and giving them the opportunity to fulfill a greater purpose through their uncanny ability to reach deep into the soul and heal our hearts.

OUR PURPOSE

Therapy dogs are trained to provide affection and comfort to people with mental handicaps, people in hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, schools, hospices, disaster areas and more. Research has proven that interaction with therapy dogs can release various neurotransmitters in the human brain such as increased oxytocin and dopamine, while decreasing cortisol. Broken hearts and lost souls, both human and canine alike, can find comfort in one another. Dogs are wonderful creatures with an undying love, and too many never get their chance to shine. The bond between humans and canines is undeniable and the effect dogs can have on our lives is immeasurable. 1.2 million dogs are euthanized each year in the United States – that’s 1.2 million opportunities to make a difference.
