The Canine Healing Project is a non profit affiliate of The Noble Dog Hotel. The project will focus on working with the local shelter and rescue groups to identify dogs for our training team to train and certify to be therapy dogs. These noble dogs will reside at The Noble Dog Hotel during their training and will remain at the hotel until their forever home is found. We urge each adopter to become certified as a handler and participate in the community therapy dog program which involves visits to local hospitals, schools, nursing homes, special needs centers, and more.

GIVE A DOG MORE THAN A CHANCE, GIVE THEM A PURPOSE

PURPOSE

“YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND HOPE IN A DOG’S EYES”

Therapy dogs are trained to provide affection and comfort to people in hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, schools, hospices, disaster areas, people with autism and more. Research has proven interaction with therapy dogs can release  various neurotransmitters in the human brain such as increased oxytocin and dopamine, while decreasing cortisol. Broken hearts and lost souls, both human and canine alike, can find comfort in one another. Dogs are wonderful creatures with an undying love, and too many never get their chance to shine. The bond between humans and canines is undeniable and the effect dogs can have on our lives is immeasurable. 1.2 million dogs are euthanized each year in the United States, 1.2 million opportunities to make a difference.

MISSION

“LOVE IS A FOUR LEGGED WORD”

We strive to heal the hearts of canines and humans in need by rescuing shelter dogs, showering them with the love they deserve and giving them the opportunity to fulfill a greater purpose through their uncanny ability to reach deep into the soul and heal our hearts.

VISION

“A DOG IS THE ONLY THING ON EARTH THAT LOVES YOU MORE THAN HE LOVES HIMSELF”

The Canine Healing Project will collaborate with local rescue groups and our local shelter in Greenville. Our staff will train and certify each dog that comes into the program as a Therapy Dog prior to being available for adoption. Adopters must be committed to their community therapy dog program, in which they must also be certified as a handler of their therapy dog. During training and certification this lucky pup will be housed at the Noble Dog Hotel in downtown Greenville, SC. We will remain committed to rescuing dogs in need while filling our community with love and affection.

OUR PURPOSE GUIDES US, OUR MISSION DRIVES US, AND OUR VISION IS WHAT WE ASPIRE TO BE.
